Dear Dr. Jones,
How do you open up your heart and tell someone about the best pal you ever could have wanted!
I have previously owned two Rottweilers one male and one female. I had my female Rottie for 13 years when she developed cancer and passed away. This was a difficult time. However, wanting to share my love with another Rottie, I started looking for another companion. I came across Dr. Jones with Wuffenhund Rottweilers. I introduced myself and told her of my loss of my beloved Rocky. Dr. Jones was very sympathetic. I asked if she had any puppies for sale. At that time she didn't. But Greta and Gringo (Moose) just had a litter, but would not be ready to leave Greta till the puppies were eight (8) weeks old. Dr. Jones was very adamant about the time frame. I found that to be a very good quality in a breeder. Dr. Jones wanted to know about my surrounding for the puppy, what food I had been using in the past, and wanting to purchase a female was I considering breeding my puppy. I had explained to her that I was not interested in breeding the puppy at any time. I felt that Dr. Jones was taking a positive interest in who was purchasing a puppy from her; yet another good quality in a breeder. Dr. Jones had sent me pictures by e-mail of the puppies and I had spoken to her numerous times on the phone. Dr. Jones was always with the puppies and Greta, a benefit to the socialization of my puppy. She has the best disposition. When it was finally the day that my husband and I could pick up the puppy (Nytro), we drove 5 hours. Greta was just what I had expected and with no issues, and friendly. A loving mother with her babies was evident. Greta is a credit to her breed. Greta was still watching over her babies and watching Dr. Jones the whole time. Greta is a good looking Rottweiler with good muscle tone and above all a loving dog. Gringo, or Moose (as Dr. Jones calls him), was all a male Rottweiler should be; very protective and a very well proportion built, also with great muscle tone. My puppy (Nytron) is a year old. And as I knew she would be, because of a caring breeder and a well disposition mother in Greta. Nytron is the best! She has grown into a wonderful companion and very much part of our family. She is one of the smartest dogs I have ever been blessed with. I swear when she looks at you, she understands every word. She has been one of the easiest dogs to train. In fact, the trainer had fallen in love with her and wanted to know if I would consider selling her or at the least letting her come to her home for visits. I guess my conclusion would be that it is the "whole" package. It starts with a breeder that is committed to the breed and to make sure that they are doing the very best for the dog, and how the puppy gets their start with a caring mother such as Greta.
